As we begin a new month, I thought I would tell you just the couple of things we have on our plate as of right now:
- March 13: I will be teaching “missions night” at our church in the Pioneer Clubs. There are about 35 kids and a good percentage of them are unchurched. I will be focusing on Peru as I encourage the kids to be missionaries right where they are now.
- March 14: a meeting with our vice president. We are looking forward to catching up and hopefully getting clearer direction on our future ministry assignment.
- March 24: We will be heading to North Carolina a few days before and spending some time with friends – whom we met while in Peru! They visited every year! – and then that Sunday, I will be teaching two hours of our children’s ministry training course, In Step with the Master Teacher. There might be as many as 40 workers in attendance!
- March 31: Easter in the States! We are SO looking forward to the sunrise service and big celebration in church that morning as well as lunch with my parents! Our families love Easter.
We are in the middle of potty training Elena. Oh, if only kids were born with that as an instinct! You know, they turn 2 and are instantly toilet trained. Wouldn’t that be convenient? But, alas, it’s not that easy. She’s close, but not quite there yet. I don’t think it’ll be much longer, though.
Back in Peru, camps are over. They finished the pool as well! I’ve been able to talk with a few of our friends down there and it sounds like the summer missions trip went well and that camps were a success. My good friend, Zarela, also had a baby girl this past week – Elissa Maria. That’s four new babies down there in the past 3 months! Praise the Lord!
We hope you have a wonderful week! “March 4th” into this new month. hehe. :)
