Well, we are almost to Peru. We drove from PA to Pensacola, FL, over the course of the last 3 days. We arrived at Lisa’s brother’s yesterday afternoon. Tomorrow morning, the four of us will drive down to Clearwater (Tampa Bay area) to be with our uncle and do some vacationing on the Gulf coast for a few days. Shawn and Britany will return to Pensacola on Monday and our uncle will be driving us to the Tampa airport bright ‘n’ early Tuesday morning. We fly out of Tampa at 8:38am Tuesday, but will land in Ft. Lauderdale at 9:30. And there we sit for 8 whole hours. We won’t actually arrive in Lima until about 11:30pm Tuesday night, which means after gathering our luggage, going through customs, and driving to the IBYM campus, we probably won’t “arrive” until about 1am Wednesday morning. It will be a long day, but at least when we arrive, we can go to bed! We leave next Saturday some time for Iquitos and will be there for 2 whole weeks. Pray for us; we’re still dealing with goodbyes and grieving and all that. Just like mourning the loss of a loved one, this is something that will come and go for probably the next few months as we adapt to everything new. Pray also for our health; we’re traveling to heavy malaria area next week..and we’ll just be traveling an awful lot. And pray for us as we adapt… a lot of changes are in store. We’re ready, but sometimes our bodies just don’t seem to keep up!
We will post pictures and more updates just as soon as we can. Love you all ~ don’t forget to write us!
