Prayer Requests – Updated 11-12-2009

  • PRAISE! ~ Our general fund has been basically replenished!
  • PRAISE! ~ Our 2nd year students being able to witness to 4000+ people in the jungle during October!
  • PRAISE! ~ Camp with kids sponsored by World Vision is going very well (weekends in November).
  • PRAISE! ~ We are getting more involved with the church plant we attend (“El Camino” – The Way) and feel very welcome there.
  • PRAISE! ~ We are not going to the jungle in December (original plan) but will be able to be here in Lima until January when we’ll head to Iquitos for two months.
  1. PRAY: for camp – Nov. 14-15 and Dec. 30-Jan. 1. Summer camps kick in around Peru in January.
  2. PRAY: for Christmas Pennies for Peru that begin mid-December. We have 5 teams – 3 here in Lima and 2 in other cities – that will be doing Pennies for Peru per day for two weeks straight, reaching thousands of children.
  3. PRAY: for summer camp and summer outreaches that begin in January and continue through March in four different cities in Peru.
  4. PRAY: for safety as we travel to Iquitos and live there from January-February with some students, our evangelism team, and some friends. Pray for Brian as he builds in the jungle and for Lisa as she helps teach Vacation Bible Schools.
  5. PRAY: for us as Brian will be building something every day from now til probably late March and for Lisa as she finishes out school year 2009 and prepares for school 2010.
  6. PRAY: for funds for a desk and a table to be provided.
  7. PRAY: for our language learning – that we’d really improve greatly in our Spanish during the next few months.
  8. PRAY: for our health and wisdom as we buy health insurance.

Hi to you both. I think I can figure this out! I’ve never made a reply to a blog before! I loved your article, Lisa and we passed the magazine aroud. Be praying for you while Brian is gone and also for your finances. My sister-in-law called me last night to ask me to pray for her daughter who is having great anxiety over her family finances. Valerie does tend to worry over such – but it doesn’t help! just saps our strength! Services were good today, sure do love your folks and have been praying daily for them. I pray for you also. Bed time! Dorrie

I’ve been looking around at this site and like Dorrie, think I have it figured out. I’ll be watching the prayer requests as well.
    Love, Mom
